Number of swine flu victims reach 100 in Iran

The Iranian Health Ministry reported that the A/H1N1 virus killed 42 people in Iran last week and the number of the swine flu victims reached 100, Isna news agency reported.

The Iranian Health Ministry's Center for Infectious Diseases reported Nov. 11 that the number of cases has risen from 2,662 to 3,128.

The A/H1N1 virus killed 14 schoolchildren and three high school students last week, Iranian Parliamentary Science and Education Committee Chairman Ali Karim Firuzjayi was quoted as saying by the Mehr news agency.

The first swine flu case in Iran was registered July 14, the Irna news agency reported.
