Quake hits Iran's Fars province

An earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale jolted the Jannatabad town in the Fars province of Iran this afternoon, Irna reported.

The Seismological Center under the Tehran University's Geophysics Institute registered the quake at 12:48 local time.

There are yet no reports on the number of possible casualties or damage to properties by the quake.
