Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on Sunday criticized Washington for its anti-Iran policies saying they put the US national interests at risk, ISNA reported.
Referring to the mass demonstration of Iranians on 11 February for the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution, Larijani told the Parliament, "people's mighty presence ridiculed the US and the West political plots and disturbed their analysis in a way that they did not stand it and resorted to regional trips to create a false glory for themselves."
The US officials' forgetfulness is so regrettable, some days ago they spoke about confrontation against Iran and allocated budget to do it and suddenly in a regional tour they express concern about substitution of the government, the Leader and the Parliament with a military dictatorship, he said.
He then criticized the US Foreign Secretary by recommending the US President to think about her measures saying they put US national interests at risk.
It is also so regretful that a regional Arab official has been deceived by the US and has called for immediate measures against Iran's threat, he said and added, "a powerful Iran is a threat to the arrogant bullies not to Muslim brothers of the region."
Meanwhile, Larijani referred to Iran's nuclear issue and noted, some have used the latest report by the IAEA Director General to divert the public opinion.
He then pointed to the difference between the previous reports of the IAEA and the latest one saying such an instrumental view towards the agency leaves no dignity for it.
