The Iranian Foreign Ministry is working to restore the rights of Iranian citizens detained in the United States, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast was quoted as saying by Mehr.
He also added that the United States misled the Iranian citizens and arrested them without charge.
"We urge the United States to cease such actions," he said. "We intend to file a complaint against the United States to protect the rights of Iranian citizens."
He added that currently Iran is working on the preparation of the complaint.
Currently, 11 Iranian citizens are in U.S. prisons and the U.S. has not presented evidence of their guilt.
