Iran's MP: If Russia not to deliver S300 missiles, Iran to start producing them itself

Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Policy and National Security of the Iran's parliament Aladdin Boroujerdi said that if Russia does not fulfill its obligations and deliver S300, Iran will start producing these missiles on its territory, Mehr news agency reported.

Boroujerdi believes that Russia will not violate the bilateral agreement. Iran considers it as a country that fulfills its obligations.

Russia and Iran signed an agreement worth $1 billion to transfer S300 anti-missile systems in December 2005. Concerned about the agreement and Iran's nuclear program, the U.S. and Israel demanded that Moscow abandon plans to sell the system to Tehran. According to Russian media, Moscow opted against selling the systems to Tehran.
