An Iranian passenger plane makes an emergency landing at Mashhad airport after blowing a tire on takeoff, an aviation official says, Press TV reported.
A Kish Airline Tupolev 154 en route from the Iranian capital Tehran to the northeastern city of Mashhad made an emergency landing at Mashhad International Airport due to a shredded tire Monday 04:30 pm (1200 GMT), ISNA quoted the unnamed official as saying on Tuesday.
"The passengers were transported via other airlines to Tehran in two hours," the official said. No one was injured due to the incident.
Also on Thursday August 26, a Fokker 100 airliner en route to Tabriz from Tehran lost control just after landing and plunged into a nearby canal.
The plane then skidded off the tarmac at Tabriz International Airport in northwestern Iran and caused some minor injuries.
On the same day, two other Iranian passenger aircraft bound for Dusseldorf and Stockholm made emergency landings at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport in Turkey due to technical problems.
