Six Iranian pilgrims were killed and 27 injured Thursday in a bus accident in southern Iraq, police said, DPA reported.
The pilgrims were on their way to visit shrines in the Shiite holy cities of Karbala and Najaf when their bus flipped over just north of the city of al-Hilla.
The injured were taken for treatment to hospital in al-Hilla, around 100 kilometres south of the capital Baghdad.
