The number of divorced women in Iran is six times more than divorced men, Iranian parliament public commission consultant Majid Abhari was quoted by Iranian news agency MEHR as saying.
According to statistics, there are currently one million divorced men and six million divorced women in Iran.
He said that the data indicates that over 9.5 million unmarried men aged 20-30 years live in Iran. The number of unmarried women aged 15-29 is seven million.
He said that over 80 percent of divorced women had not lived with their husbands more than five years and had no children.
