Iran's determination to develop their weapons is a threat to regional and global security, U.S Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Eric Rubin said at a press conference in Baku on Thursday.
"As we have said many times we believe that Iran's determination to develop their weapons is a threat to regional and global security, and we determined to prevent Iran," he said.
Rubin said the U.S. wants to work with all partners, including Azerbaijan, which is direct neighbor and is directly affected, to help to persuade Iran to engage with international community about its nuclear program.
He reaffirmed the statement of State Department's spokesperson, who said that the U.S. is prepared to negotiate with Iran, and the choice is left for Iran.
