Azerbaijan, Baku, June 23 / Trend M. Moezzi /
Ali Akbar Salehi, Iran's Foreign Minister, hasn't been summoned to the Majlis (parliament) because he met with his British counterpart, the head of that body's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee says.
Rather, Salehi has been asked to meet with committee members so they can meet him and learn about Iran's positions on various issues, committee head Alaeddin Boroujerdi told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) today.
The committee's spokesman, Seyyed Hossein Naghvi Hosseini, complained today that the media had "distorted" his statement about Salehi being summoned to the Majlis. Asking the Foreign Minister to the Majlis isn't unusual and happens every two or three weeks.
