Iranian Foreign Minister Ali-Akbar Salehi, said on Tuesday that Central Asian republics' easy access to free waters is a great advantage for those countries, IRNA reported.
In a meeting with Kyrgyz Finance Minister Akylbek Japarov in Tehran, Salehi highlighted Iran's geographical position in the region, especially the country's important role in cargo transit.
He voiced pleasure with formation of a new government in Kyrgyzstan, saying Iran and Kyrgyzstan should use maximum use of their facilities to expand cooperation.
He said Iran is ready for expansion of mutual cooperation in different economic and commercial spheres.
Japarov, who is the Kyrgyz head of Iran-Kyrgyzstan Joint Economic Cooperation Commission, hoped for upgrading of mutual cooperation in various spheres.
