Federation of International Committee of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies on Monday expressed readiness to release abducted Iranians in Libya, IRNA reported.
In a letter to Secretaries General of World National Red Crescent Societies in five continents, it said that the Federation is concerned about the abducted Iranians and also hopeful for the immediate release of them so it does its utmost to help their release.
Iran on Wednesday August 1 announced names of the Iranian officials kidnapped in Libya.
Two deputy Director General of Tehran Red Crescent for International and Humanitarian Affairs and Health and Red Crescent Pediatrics are among the delegation who visited Libya and have been abducted there.
Tehran province Director General of Red Crescent Organization Montazer Shobbar, his Deputy for International and Humanitarian Affairs Shahaboddin Mohammadi Araghi, his Director General for Administrative Affairs Mohammad Balouchi, his Managing Director for Medical Procurement Fardin Balouchi, his Advisor for Red Crescent Seyyad Hassan Mousavi, his Deputy for Heath, Treatment and Rehabilitation Affairs Abdol Reza Shahrokhi and an Expert of International Affairs Mohammad Amir Sharifi Fard are among these people.
Libyan government had not officially commented or announced any report about the event till Saturday about the situation of these abducted officials.
Libyan Ministry of Interior also condemn on Sunday the action.
