An earthquake measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale rocked Bum-e Hen city and its suburbs in northeasternTehran province, IRNA reported.
The quake jolted Bum-e Hen which is only 20 kilometers from the capital city Tehran at 1:26:06.
No report of the possible damages or death toll has been given so far.
Tehran province is situated on earthquake-prone region.
