Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili left Tehran early Wednesday for India, IRNA reported.
After India, Jalili is scheduled to visit Kabul (Afghanistan).
Jalili's visits are taking place at the official invitations of Indian and Afghan governments.
Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council is set to hold talks with officials of those countries on various issues of mutual interest.
