Bullying powers are trying to dominate region again - Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

IRI President Mahmood Ahmadinejad said bullying powers are trying to gain dominance on the region again and have managed to make certain people their puppets, IRNA reported.

President Ahmadinejad, in a meeting with Syrian Grand Mufti Ahmad Badr-eddin Hassoun here on Tuesday, said for passing the existing situation every body should insist on truth, justice and beliefs, because truth will be the winner.

The president said that Iranians have sympathy with Syrian people.

He went on to say that although colonialists and international plans have created difficult situation for Syrian people, undoubtedly, the Syrians will pass this period with honor.

He reminded that nowadays, enemies shout slogans such as freedom, democracy and human rights and although these slogans sound beautiful, intentions are more important than slogans.

Syrian Grand Mufti, for his part, felicitated birthday of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as well as anniversary of victory of Islamic Revolution in Iran and said that this revolution belongs to all oppressed people in the world.

Hassoun referred to imposed pressures and sanctions against independent nations , like Iran and Syria and said that we are on the same boat.

Reminding world hegemonic moves and actions to create disunity and differences between religious groups, Hassoun underlined necessity of vigilance against enemies plots.
