The value of exports from Iran to Egypt has increased by 1500 percent in the first ten months of the current Iranian calendar year, which began on March 20, 2012, compared to the same period last year, ISNA reported.
Iran's exports to Egypt rose by 1493.8 percent in value and 922.2 percent in weight, reaching 342,000 tons in weight and 329.8 million dollars in value.
Egypt held a 1.24 percent share of Iran's total exports. Butane and propane, methanol, pistachios, grapes, apples, and shrimps were the main goods exported to Egypt.
Tehran exported over 34.5 billion dollars' worth of non-oil goods just in the first 10 months of the current Iranian calendar year.
Iran also imported 43.7 billion dollars' worth of goods in the aforementioned period marking an overall trade value of 78.2 billion dollars.
Iran's overall trade volume in the first nine months of the year had stood at 73 billion dollars. Exports accounted for 32 billion dollars of that amount.
Iraq, China, the United Arab Emirates, Afghanistan and India were the top importers of Iranian goods during the period, while the United Arab Emirates, China, Turkey, South Korea, and Switzerland were the leading exporters of goods to Iran.
