IRI Deputy Foreign Minister for European and American Affairs Ali Asghar Khaji said the era of using economic sanctions to bring the countries to their knees is over, adding that anti-Iran sanctions proved ineffective, IRNA reported.
In a meeting with the visiting Poland's Deputy Economy Minister Anderi Dija, he added that the sanctions and pressures have proved unconstructive which have not solved any problem; furthermore, they have complicated the situation.
According to Foreign Ministry's Media Diplomacy Bureau, they discussed bilateral ties and avenues for developing them.
Khaji further noted that other means except for pressure and sanctions will help solve the disputes.
Referring to the 500-year history of Iran-Poland relations, he underlined considerable capacities of the two countries to develop bilateral ties.
Poland's deputy economy minister also welcomed mutual cooperation in all fields including technical and technological sectors.
