IRI President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday that inauguration of Shahid Rajaei Port will pave the way for promoting Iranian trade with regional states and the entire world, IRNA reported.

He told the inaugural ceremony of Shahid Rajaei Port that development of the Port facilities has been carried out by the Iranian engineers.

Following the inauguration of the project, the port's capacity has increase so that it will be able to handle a large section of foreign trade, the president said.

Inauguration of the project has crucial role to facilitate extra-regional transport.
