Deputy Commander in Chief of Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General Hossein Salami has dismissed the reports that three people were arrested in Nigeria in connection to espionage, ISNA news agency reported.
On Feb. 21, Bloomberg reported citing Nigeria state security police that three people were arrested in the country, believed to be members of an Iran-linked terror cell planning attacks on U.S. and Israeli interests in Lagos.
The group planned attacks on the Lagos offices of the U.S. Agency for International Development, the Haifa-based ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. and the Jewish Cultural Center, said spokeswoman of the Nigeria state security unit also known as the Department of State Services.
In response to a journalist's question about the allegations that two people were arrested in Germany in connection with selling UAV engine components to Iran, Salami dismissed those news as well.
"All components for UAV Iran manufactures itself, we rely on our own abilities," Salami noted.
