Azerbaijan, Baku, Mar.5 / Trend, D.Khatinoglu/
A delay in resolving the Syrian crisis will lead to the spillover of the unrest throughout the region, Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said in a letter to the U-N Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, ISNA reported.
He wrote the letter in condemnation of terrorist attacks inside Syria.
Salehi said that inaction in the face of such attacks will have global consequences.
He also held international organizations, especially the United Nations, responsible for the deadlock in Syria.
Salehi voiced concern about militant groups exasperating the situation in Syria.
The Iranian foreign minister also condemned Washington's double standards in refusing to condemn those groups through the United Nations Security Council.
