A quake hit Tehran province, Firouzkouh, Fars news agency reported.

The quake occurred at the local time of 10:27, in the morning.

Reportedly, the earthquake was strong, measuring 3.9 on the Richter scale. The depth of the quake was measured at 7 km.

The chief of Iran's Crisis Prevention Organization, Saeed Asghari told Fars news agency that the earthquake did not leave any victims or damages.

Fars also reported later that another 2,0 quake occured moments after the first one.

Firuzkuh is a city in and the capital of Firuzkuh County, Tehran Province, Iran. It is located north-east of Tehran, in the middle of Alborz Mountains. Previously, it was part of Mazandaran Province.
