Despite the OPEC monthly reported published on October 10, which indicates a 6,400 barrel increase in Iran's oil output during September, the International Energy Agency (IEA) reported on October 11 that Iran's crude oil output decreased by 0.1 million barrels per day during the mentioned time to 2.58 mbpd.
However, according to the IEA report, Iran's crude oil exports during September increased by 0.18 mbpd compared to August due to higher purchases from China and India.
Iran exported 1.17 mbpd crude oil in September.
India imported 265,000 bpd, while China imported 555,000 bpd of Iranian oil during September.
OPEC reported that Iran's oil output was 2.7 mbpd in September indicates 273,000 bpd decrease compared to 2012 and 928,000 bpd decrease compared to 2011 average figures.
