UN-Arab League envoy for Syria, Lakhdar Brahimi will visit Tehran tomorrow, Fars news agency reported.
Brahimi's visit to Tehran is part of his regional tour to get support for the Geneva II conference.
According to the report, Brahimi is scheduled to meet senior Iranian officials regarding the issue.
Earlier, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham announced Iran would not accept any prerequisite for participating in the upcoming Geneva II talks on Syria .
Afkham's remarks came in reaction to US State Department Spokeswoman Marie Harf's earlier statements that Washington might be better disposed to Iran taking part in the Geneva II conference if Tehran were to embrace the original Geneva communiqué.
Brahimi previously said that intense efforts are underway to convene the conference aimed at finding a political solution to the Syrian crisis.
The Geneva II conference is a follow-up to a similar meeting held in June last year.
Brahimi has already visited Egypt, Kuwait, Iraq and Turkey. His regional tour will also take him to Lebanon and Syria.
