By Umid Niayesh, Saeed Isayev - Trend: The latest reports confirm that Iranian cultural attache Embrahim Ansari died as a result of two bomb explosions in Beirut this morning, IRNA reported.
Iranian Ambassador to Beirut, Ghazanfar Roknabadi told Alminar TV that the attache died from the injuries he received because of the explosion.
Roknabadi said that Israel is to blame for the explosions.
According to the latest reports, there are 23 dead and 169 injured people as a result of two bomb explosions near the Iranian embassy in Beirut. The explosions happened this morning.
The explosion took place in an area in the south of Beirut, which is mainly controlled by the Iran-backed Shiite movement Hezbollah.
Previous statement from Iranian embassy said that country's ambassador to Lebanon and embassy staff are safe.
According to the Lebanese media, two suicide bombers are behind the attacks.
