Iran is ready for consultation with Saudi Arabia, whenever Saudi officials are ready, Iranian foreign minister, Mohammad Javad Zarif wrote on his Facebook page on Dec. 3.

Iran-Saudi Arabia mutual consultations would be useful for both countries as well as regional and Islamic countries, Zarif underlined.

Commenting on his visit to Kuwait, Oman and Qatar Zarif wrote that the officials of the countries expressed their readiness to boost mutual relations with Iran.

Iranian FM said that all Gulf states are important in terms of Iran's security and development. Peace and security in the Gulf is Iran's priority, he added.

Integrated regional security is indivisible, Zarif said, adding that achieving security by eliminating other regional countries or making them insecure will fail.

Zarif also remarked that Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki is scheduled to visit Tehran on Dec. 4.

On Dec 2, Zarif appealed to Saudi Arabia to work with Tehran toward achieving regional "stability", as he continued a tour seeking rapprochement with Gulf Arab states.

Zarif arrived in Doha after visits to Kuwait and Oman for meetings aimed at assuring top officials that a deal Iran secured with world powers on its disputed nuclear programme is in their interest.

During his stopover in the Omani capital Muscat, Zarif called on Saudi Arabia to jointly work with Iran to resolve regional issues.

"I believe that our relations with Saudi Arabia should expand as we consider Saudi Arabia as an extremely important country in the region and the Islamic world," Zarif told AFP.

"We believe that Iran and Saudi Arabia should work together in order to promote peace and stability in the region."

Iranian FM will continue his regional tour on Dec. 4 by visiting UAE.
