Iranian president Hassan Rouhani`s advisor on media affairs, Mohammad Reza Sadeq has rejected reports claiming that Rouhani has written a commentary for German newspaper, Sueddeutsche Zeitung, Fars news agency reported on Dec. 23.

Reuters claimed on Dec. 23 that Rouhani has written an article for the German newspaper saying Iran wants to improve bilateral relations with the United States and other Western powers.

"We have never even considered the option of acquiring nuclear weapons," Reuters quoted the Iranian president in Sueddeutsche Zeitung.

"We'll never give up our right to profit from nuclear energy. But we are working towards removing all doubts and answer all reasonable questions about our program."

Sadeq underlined that "regardless of the article's content, Rouhani didn't sent any article to the German newspaper," adding that attributing the published note to Iran's president is a lie.
