By Temkin Jafarov - Trend:

Players of Persepolis football team in Iran refused to participate in the trainings yesterday and today as a sign of protest, Iranian Fars agency reported.

The team's players are demanding a quickest solution to the team's financial problems and only after this they will participate in the trainings.

Persepolis is one of the three major teams of Tehran participating in the first football league. It is also called "Pizuri" (Victory).

Three teams from Tehran - Persepolis, Istiglal, and Pas (which represents Hamadan city since 2008) are often the champions of Iranian football.
