A trade delegation for Austria will visit Tehran in near future, head of Tehran Chamber of Commerce and Industries and Mines Yahya Al-Is'haq said on Feb. 28, Iran's Fars News Agency reported.

"During the visit the two sides will discuss possible ways to boost bilateral trade," he said.

He went on to note that currently 700 Austrian companies have trade relations with Iran.

"The two countries trade turnover was around $700 million in the previous Iranian calendar year (ended March 20, 2013)," Al-Is'haq said.

"Iran and Austria's trade turnover faced a sharp decline in the current year," he explained.

"The two countries' trade turnover was less than $300 million in the first ten months of the current year," he said, adding that Iran's exports accounted for $8 million of the mentioned amount.

"Carpet, agricultural products, and food stuff were the main exported items from Iran," he noted.
