In a meeting with governor general of Khorasan Razavi province, he added that Iran and Azerbaijan Republic share numerous commonalities in cultural, social, religious and economic fields, which should be used in line with enhancing interaction.

Iran and Azerbaijan's capacities for investment in different fields should be introduced to investors, the Azeri minister said, noting that statesmen should prepare necessary grounds for investment.

Describing his visit to Iran and Mashhad as very positive, he said that the trips will pave the way for promoting bilateral ties.

For his part, Khorasan Razavi province governor general, Ali Reza Rashidian called for identification of the two countries' potentials in various fields to boost bilateral ties.

He further noted that some 13,000 Azeri pilgrims visited Mashhad last year.
