Iranian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham on Saturday condemned a ruling by a Canadian court which ordered the freezing of over $7 million of Iranian assets, IRNA reported.
Iran has not been informed about the legal proceedings and therefore the ruling has no legal value to the country, Afkham said.
Referring to a decision by the Canadian government last year to unilaterally cut off diplomatic relations with Iran, Afkham said that diplomatic properties have immunity under international laws and warned against consequences of ignoring the international regulations.
