An earthquake measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale shook the vicinity of Zarand in Kerman province on Saturday, IRNA reported.
According to seismological base of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the quake occurred at 16:46 hours local time (12:16 GMT).
The quake was epicentered in an area located at 30.91 degrees latitude and 56.53 degrees longitude.
There are no reports of any possible damage or casualty caused by the quake.
