The state of the fifth and last abducted Iranian border guard Sergeant Jamshid Danaeifar is still "unclear as there is no accurate information about his situation," a senior official at the Interior Ministry said on Sunday, IRNA reported.

"Danaeifar is definitely being kept in Paksitan," Deputy Interior Minister for Security Affairs Ali Abdollahi told reporters.

Danaeifar and his four comrades (Sajjad Zahani, Mohammad Nezami, Ramin Hazrati and Jamshid Teimouri) were kidnapped on February 6 by members of the Jeish-ul-Adl terrorist group in Jakigour region of Iran's southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan and then taken to Pakistan.

On April 6, four Iranian soldiers were released by the terrorists who had earlier claimed that they executed Danaeifar.

"No new information is available on Danaeifar's situation," Abdollahi said, regretting that the terrorist group had previously claimed that the Iranian border guard was killed by its members.

"In this juncture, the Government of Pakistan should shoulder the responsibility," Abdollahi stressed.

He stressed that a high-ranking delegation from Iran will visit Pakistan in near future to discuss major issues, particularly the case of Danaeifar.
