Iran rejects the reports that claim a U.S. plane, owned by the Bank of Utah, had landed in Tehran.

Director General of Tehran's Mehrabad Airport Nasrollah Mansouri Shirazi said that he has no information on the issue, Iranian Fars news agency reported on April 18.

"There is no report on landing of any American air plane at the airport," he underlined.

On April 17, the New York Times claimed that on the morning of April 15, a plane bearing a small U.S. flag on its tail was parked in a highly visible section of Mehrabad Airport in Tehran.

The plane belongs to the Bank of Utah, a community bank in Ogden that has 13 branches throughout the state, the report said.

Earlier Iranian officials declined to comment on the purpose of the plane's visit or passengers' identities.

A spokesman for Iran's United Nations mission in New York, Hamid Babaei, said: "We don't have any information in this regard. I refer you to the owner."
