Pakistan's ambassador to Iran said that Tehran and Islamabad have close and sincere relations, IRNA reported.

On the occasion of Pakistan National Day, Noor Mohammad Jadmani told participants in the ceremony that Iran and Pakistan underline consolidation of ties with neighbors and this has prepared necessary ground for stronger bilateral relations.

He said here on Wednesday afternoon that this ceremony is in commemoration of Pakistan National Day, which is on March 23, but because of Norouz holidays is held today.

We are celebrating the 74th anniversary of approval of Pakistan historical resolution, 1940, when our national poet Mohammad Eqbal proposed an idea for Muslims in West Asia.

He added that Eqbal is a familiar person in Iran and Iranians love his poems which are mainly in the Persian language.

Jadmani continued that Eqbal is as a bridge between Iran and Pakistan.
