Iran’s oil ministry to construct 200 one-pump gas stations in capital

Iran's oil ministry plans to construct small gas stations with only one pump in capital, Tehran.

Khosrow Jenaghi, an official with ministry, said that the locations for the stations have already been selected, Iran's IRNA News Agency reported on May 5.

"The oil ministry plans to construct one-pump station in all the cities where population is over 200,000 people," he said.

"The capacity of each one-pump station is 47,000 liters," he added.

Studies show that Iranian capital is short of at least 100 gas stations, Iran's Mehr News Agency reported onMar. 8.

Iran's Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh said on Feb. 25 that the oil ministry plans to construct 200 to 250 small gas stations with only one pump in Tehran.
