Visiting Iranian foreign minister's first program after arrival in Algeria was a meeting with the former UN-Arab League envoy on Syria, in which the two diplomats exchanged viewpoints on Syria and Palestine, IRNA reported.

According to IRNA's dispatched reporter, Mohammad Javad Zarif who has arrived in Algiers to attend the 17th meeting of the NAM Foreign Ministers Conference late Tuesday night local time met and conferred with Lakhdar Brahimi shortly after his arrival here.

The bilateral meeting took place on the sidelines of a dinner ceremony hosted by the Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra.

The two sides in the meeting exchanged viewpoints on the latest developments in the Islamic world, the Syrian crisis, Palestine, and the NAM stands during its 17th ministerial conference.

Peaceful resolving of the disputes within the Islamic world was in the focus of attention of Zarif-Brahimi talks.

After that along with the Bolivian President Evo Morales, the Algerian Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal and a group of NAM member countries' foreign ministers, Zarif attended the dinner ceremony.

The Bolivian President Morales, who is also the rotating head of the G77, is one of the guests of the 17th NAM Foreign Ministers Conference.
