Iran and Kazakhstan are increasing the port and maritime cooperation.

Fars news agency said that Iran's capital of Tehran has today hosted the 4th Meeting of the Port and Maritime Cooperation Joint Committee of Iran and Kazakhstan.

The meeting was attended by Kazakh Aktau port's Head Mikhail Yalbachev, as well as the heads of Anzali, Nowshahr and Amirabad ports of Iran.

Anzali, Nowshahr and Amirabad ports of Iran are all located on the Caspian seashore.
During the meeting, the parties agreed to strengthen cooperation in both technological and training areas, and to address the problems hindering this cooperation.

They also agreed to increase the volume of operations between the two countries ports to 25 percent.
