By Dalga Khatinoglu - Trend:

Iran's petroleum export decreased from about $115 billion during the pre-sanctions level to about $62 billion in 2013. This figure for 2012 was $101,468 billion.

According to OPEC annual Statistics bulletin, released on July 19, Iran exported about 1.25 million barrels of crude oil as well as 394,000 barrels of petroleum products during 2013, indicates a 42.2 percent and 8 percent decrease compared to 2012.

The crude oil in OPEC statistics includes a mixture of hydrocarbons that exist in a liquid phase in natural underground reservoirs and remains liquid at atmospheric, then it consists of crude oil, gas condensate, NGLs, etc.

The petroleum products also include the products obtained from the processing of crude oil, unfinished oils, NGLs and other hydrocarbon compounds. These include aviation gasoline, motor gasoline, naphtha, kerosene, jet fuel, distillate fuel oil, residual fuel oil, liquefied petroleum gas, lubricants, paraffin wax, petroleum coke, asphalt and other products.

OPEC says Iran produced 3,575 million barrels of crude oil per day in 2013 indicates a 4.4 percent decrease to 2012, while last month the British Petroleum released the Statistical Review of World Energy bulletin putting this figure at 3,558 million barrels per day with a 6 percent drop compare to the previous year.
