By Umid Niayesh - Trend:

Iran's natural gas exports reached 9.307 billion cubic meters in 2013, which indicates an increase by 1.7 percent compared to preceding year, according to OPEC annual Statistics bulletin, released on July 19.

The figures for 2012 and 2011 were 9.152 billion cubic meters and 9.114 billion cubic meters respectively.

The country's gross natural gas production stood at 228.887 billion cubic meters in 2013, according to OPEC annual Statistics bulletin, released on July 19.

The figure is 1.1 percent less than country's 231.332 billion cubic meters of gross production in 2012.

It should be noted that the gross production is the total flow of natural gas from oil and gas reservoirs of associated-dissolved and non-associated gas.

Iran's marketed natural gas production stood at 199.29 billion cubic meters in 2013, which shows a fall by 1.6 percent compared to 2012.

Marketed production corresponds to gross production, minus the volumes of gas flared or re-injected into fields, minus the shrinkage.

The report also set Iran's proven natural gas reserves to 34.02 trillion cubic meters.
