Firs Vice-President Is'haq Jahangiri, Economic Affairs and Finance Minister Ali Tayebnia, Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, Health Minister Seyyed Hassan Qazizadeh Hashemi, Sports and Youth Minister Mahmoud Goudarzi, Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Namdaz Zanganeh,Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister Ali Jannati, and Vice President for Parliamentary Affairs Majid Ansari also attended the session.

The impeachment proceedings against Faraji-Dana were notified at an open session of parliament on Aug. 12 with 51 signatories.

They also have called for the expulsion of persons who involved in the 2009 protests against the disputed presidential elections.

On October 27, 2013, parliament granted a vote of confidence to Faraji-Dana after the lawmakers refused to approve the qualifications of Rouhani's initial nominee for the position.
