Yemeni security forces killed a suspected member of al-Qaeda and captured four others in a raid on a house in the southern province of Shabwa, the official state news agency reported on Wednesday.
The agency identified the slain suspect as Abdullah al-Mehdar. It said he was killed late Tuesday night when anti-terrorism forces stormed his home in Mayfa'ah district of Shabwa.
Police also seized weapons in the raid, the report said.
