Two killed as police clash with separatists in southern Yemen

At least two people were killed and several others injured in clashes between police and pro-separatist protesters in southern Yemen on Thursday, witnesses said, DPA reported.

They said one protester was killed and four others injured in clashes in Dhalea, about 300 kilometres south of Sana'a.

Another protester was killed in Tour al-Baha city of the neighbouring Lahj province, they said.

Around 5,000 people attended a sit-in Sana'a called by the main opposition parties to denounce the violence in the south.
