Syria's Assistant Vice President Hassan Turkmani Sunday denied media reports that opposition rebels had killed him and a number of high-ranking officials, dpa reported.
"The news reported by the (Qatari) Al Jazeera TV channel is completely baseless and reflects full media bankruptcy," he told state news agency SANA.
"My colleagues and I are safe and sound and performing our duties to serve the nation," he added.
