Violence in Syria is limiting the work of UN peace observers, mission chief Major General Robert Mood told reporters in Damascus on Friday, dpa reported.
"The escalating violence in the past few weeks is limiting our ability to observe, verify reports as well as assist in local dialogue and stability," the Norwegian general said. "It is important that the parties give the mission a chance."
