Israel launched seven air raids at targets in the Gaza Strip early Wednesday, and Palestinian militias launched six rockets at southern Israel, officials said, dpa reported.
Two Israeli military statements said the air raids targeted "terror activity" sites, and that "hits were confirmed," but gave no further details.
There were no immediate reports of Palestinian casualties.
None of the rockets fired into Israel appeared to have caused damaged or casualties.
