Egypt's newly elected president Mohamed Morsi promised Sunday to fulfil the revolution's demands as he vowed to be a president for all Egyptians, DPA reported.
"Egypt, our beloved homeland, needs our unity," Morsi said in a speech broadcast by state television. "The revolution continues until all its goals are achieved. Together we continue the journey."
Morsi saluted martyrs of the revolution, the army and police forces. He promised to preserve all international treaties.
"We come in peace," he said.
