A Kuwaiti man was kidnapped by gunmen in eastern Lebanon on Saturday, a Lebanese security source told , reported dpa.
The source said Issam al-Houtti, 52, was seized at gunpoint after his car was intercepted by an unknown group in the Bekaa Valley and taken to the Baalbeck area.
Baalbeck, also in the east of the country, is controlled mainly by the Shiite Hezbollah movement and other Shiite clans.
Lebanon's official National News Agency confirmed the abduction that came a week after a powerful local Shiite clan threatened to kidnap citizens of Sunni Muslim countries supporting the rebels in neighbouring Syria.
