Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan is to visit Berlin for talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel on October 30-31, the Turkish embassy in the German capital said Tuesday, dpa reported.
The official reason for the visit is the opening of a new building at the embassy.
However, the tension between Turkey and the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is expected to top the agenda during his talks with Merkel.
