A suicide bomber detonated his explosive-laden car on Wednesday at a military checkpoint in northern Syria, leaving an undisclosed number of casualties, pro- government Sham FM said, Xinhua reported.
The bomber slammed his car against the checkpoint located in al- Qantari area, on the road between the northern provinces of Raqqa and Hasaka, the radio said.
Syria's state media has released no reports of the incident yet.
The blast is the latest in an endless circle of violence that has engulfed most of Syria's cities during the past 19 months.
