Jordan's Public Security Department on Tuesday arrested 61 Syrians after they entered the Kingdom illegally, Xinhua reported quoting the state-run Petra news agency, .
The Syrians were caught while hiding inside three trucks that were intercepted by the police in the southern governorate of Maan, Petra said.
Hundreds of Syrians flee the violence in their country on daily basis and are received by the Jordanian authorities and relief groups who later transfer them to refugee camps or other accommodation facilities.
According to official figures, there are more than 210,000 Syrian refugees in the country currently.
